Mat Update

Concerns At the 2024 International My Gym Conference, concerns regarding the mats from our longtime vendor, Artistic Coverings, were voiced. Gym owners shared their thoughts on the quality of the vinyl, the stitching, and the foam. The main concerns revolved around the appearance of the mats and keeping them clean. History Artistic Coverings has been a preferred vendor of My Gym dating back to the 90s. For over 30 years, they have worked with us on new designs while maintaining reasonable prices, managing shipping costs, keeping with order lead times, and upholding the customer service standards we have grown to expect. Artistic Coverings has been an outstanding partner with My Gym. Alternate Vendors In years past, there was a heavy request to find alternative mat vendors in other areas of the US to help combat shipping prices. Can you believe that we are heading into the fall season already? Sweater weather and all things spooky are just around the corner! The My Gym Foundation is excited to be kicking off the fall season with our annual Halloween party fundraiser. In years past, YOU have raised an incredible amount of money for deserving children everywhere through this nationwide event. We ask that every gym participate in this fundraiser by adding a suggested $5 donation to your regular seasonal party fee for your Halloween party. Traditionally, gyms have found great success raising all or nearly all their 100% Program $1,000 goal from this one event with minimal additional effort! Timing KNOW is launched and available for all franchisees to use via the Omnify platform (See Claiming Your Omnify / KNOW Account below). Reminder: KNOW is a third-party app that is being provided for all franchisees. The Omnify platform is where you will access KNOW and any other third-party technology partners. We are in the final stages of perfecting the Omnify platform, which is what will replace the bulk of MGM’s business, services, and financial functionality. Core Program Updates

We wanted to draw your attention to curriculum changes and upgrades in three different core programs (Gymnastics, Ninja Jr., and Ninja Training) that were originally introduced at Conference and begin next week! Overall, the programs have been reconfigured to create various levels of intentional progression and/or repetition within the curriculum. The ultimate goal is to have students achieve a higher level of skill development. Please ensure time is allotted in your weekly meeting to discuss and educate your team on how best to execute these changes. Here is a quick outline of the changes you will notice going forward. Preschool Prep Revamp

As announced at Conference, we are pumped about the enhancements we have made to the Preschool Prep program! While our age groups and hours of the program will remain the same, we have done research and have spoken to experts in the field who gave us great ideas for the revamp! Gmail Deliverability Issues

We have received reports of emails sent from @mygym.com accounts being sent to spam. The most common recipients are using Gmail, but other providers such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, and AOL may also be filtering our messages. This also means that, if you correspond with MGE via one of these email providers, our replies may be going to your spam.  We suspect that we had an unfortunate spike in spam reports in a short amount of time, which puts a dent in our “reputation.” The good news is that, once a recipient has marked your email as “Not Junk,” future emails will no longer be filtered. Mandate Follow-up

In the franchise world, stores are typically updated every 8 to 12 years. This is done in an effort to keep things up to date and maintain a favorable brand impression. As announced more than one year ago, all My Gyms were required to update to the current color scheme (pics below) by June 2024. MGE is always sensitive to our franchisees’ bottom line and expenses, therefore we have required that My Gym’s upgrade in this manner only once in our history. A few important reminders: The current color scheme, consisting of light blue, green, pink, and gray, was released in 2014. All vinyl mats, post pads, etc. must now be in the current colors. For mats that have a zipper/Velcro closure and foam that is in good condition, a considerable savings can be attained by replacing only the covers. All walls, doors, and trim should now be painted according to the MGE guidelines. Please note that it is NOT required in the MGE Mandates that My Gyms upgrade...
