MGM Release – Sunday, May 24th

Per our update last week, we have scheduled the MGM release for Sunday, May 24th early morning East Coast time. We had previously stated that MGM and the website will go offline briefly like past releases, however that is no longer the case on our new platform. Users active at the time of release may need to refresh or clear cache, but otherwise there will be no service interruption. We will continue to keep you updated as any changes come about. Enhancements and updates scheduled in this release: 🔹PCI ComplianceWe are releasing updated back-end code to comply with PCI standards. There will also be a slight update to the transaction flow. The credit card fields will open in a small dialog box within the booking process. Your transaction will not be disrupted. A secure email link will still be an option for any parent who requests it, though it is entirely optional. In the notice we sent in March, we mentioned that the credit card entry fields would be...

Curriculum Optimization Directives and Webinar Recording Now Available!

Our My Gym curriculum is always evolving with these goals in mind: making it easier to teach, easier to train, and consistently exceptional for every child and family. We’re happy to share that the next phase of curriculum optimization will launch in curriculum the week of 5/18. We encourage you to watch the webinar for a detailed overview of all the changes. As promised, the directives are now available to guide you through the updates. WATCH NOW: https://vimeo.com/1188478371/6534808d9d?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci Why We’re Making These Changes More time for meaningful play: Children will have more time to explore and engage with “ingredients,” rather than rushing from one to the next. Developmentally appropriate expectations: Adjustments have been made to better align with how children naturally learn and participate. Quality over quantity: One well-executed, engaging activity is more impactful than squeezing in multiple rushed ones. Time to connect: Families are craving slower, more intentional experiences and meaningful interactions. We are also optimizing for today’s families and teams. Parents, especially Millennials and Gen Z, are...

New Resource: AP Gymnastics Skill Video Library

We’re thrilled to share a new addition to the AP Gymnastics curriculum: a Video Library of Skills! This library is designed to serve as a visual guide for what each skill should look like, helping create greater clarity and consistency in how skills are taught across the board. A few important notes: Not every skill appears in each month’s curriculum, and not every curriculum skill is included on the skill chart. Many skills are built through a progression of lead-up drills that develop over time. You may see skills introduced before the level they’re formally “assigned” to. This is intentional, giving gymnasts exposure and something to work toward as they continue developing. You can find the Video Library: Linked directly within the curriculum on the Gymnastics page under the “Overall Notes” section In the Curriculum Center here: Curriculum>Video Library>Gymnastics Levels Library We hope this resource supports your team in building confidence, consistency, and retention within your gymnastics...

April Marketing Minute: Lead Speed

When a parent searches for activities for their child, they are often in a “high-intent window.” They may be needing to get out of the house, feeling frustrated with their child’s screen time, or in the process of switching to a new activity from something else. If that “high-intent window” closes, the lead is gone. How important is speed exactly? Here are some stats and information to drive the point home… According to studies by Harvard Business Review and InsideSales.com: You are 100x more likely to connect with a lead if you call or text within 5 minutes versus 30 minutes. You are 21x more likely to qualify a lead (get them to book a trial) if you respond within 5 minutes compared to waiting just 30 minutes. The “One-Handed Shopper”: Modern day moms are often browsing on their phones while doing something else (waiting in the carpool line, sitting at a doctor’s office, etc.). THIS is likely when they submit their lead. If you reply while they are...

Text Request Multi-Factor Authentication Update

We have reached out to Text Request to discuss more convenient options for MFA. Though we are unable to turn the function off completely, they are giving us a back-end option to switch individual users from SMS to email verification. We have confirmed that this is optional; you do not need to switch if SMS works for you. Important things to know: Text Request’s standard MFA method is SMS verification by default, but they are changing our account’s default method to email on the back-end. That said, all current users will remain on SMS unless they would like to switch to email. To switch individual users to email, contact mperez@mygym.com with the Gym Name, Dashboard ID (phone number), user’s full name, and email address. All new users created in Text Request will use email verification by default going forward, but they may switch to SMS at any time in their user profile. You may create individual user accounts for your team members at your discretion, or continue to share...

Merchandise Division Update

Here’s an update from Memo Kahan, the CEO of PromoShop, our merchandise vendor. +++ April 2, 2026 Dear My Gym Franchisees, We sincerely apologize for the disruption and frustration we have caused you and your gym’s operations. We are embarrassed by the challenges you’ve experienced and take full responsibility. In the interest of transparency, we want to share what happened, what has been resolved, and what is underway. What went wrong PromoShop transitioned from the previous vendor too quickly, and there were too many unknowns.    The inventory transfer was significantly more complicated than anticipated due to inconsistent labeling and packaging from the previous supplier, resulting in inaccurate stock counts. The transition coincided with product supplier breaks for Chinese New Year, creating additional supply-chain delays. Existing order history and backorders from the prior provider caused system conflicts and fulfillment issues. Connectivity between ShopMyGym and the fulfillment warehouse system has been a challenge, which we believe has been fixed. For the last 2 weeks we implemented a more manual process...

March Marketing Minute – Lead Follow-Ups

Your leads aren’t ghosting you… they’re just waiting for a nudge. It’s not that they aren’t interested. They’re busy, distracted, or planning to respond later and forgetting. And, if your follow-up stops after one or two attempts… they can easily slip away. Because effective follow-up is what turns “this looks fun” into “let’s do it!” And when it’s treated like a daily system (not a one-off task), that’s when things start to click. And the best part? Most of the time, the “yes” is already there… it just needs a little extra love. Follow-Up = Where Most Conversions Happen Most families don’t act after the first message – they need time and a few reminders. Without follow-up, a lead that felt excited today can easily go cold within a few days. It’s one of the highest-impact things your team can do – no extra ad spend, no new strategy – just making the most of the leads you already have. How to Do It (The System That Works) Daily...

Upcoming PCI Compliance Updates – Payment Collection Changes

We want to keep you informed about upcoming system updates designed to strengthen PCI compliance and further protect customer payment information across the network. These updates will be released on Thursday, March 26th. Best practice in PCI compliancy is for team members to not handle and/or see the customer’s credit card. To meet this requirement, the process for collecting payment information will change. Going forward, when a customer needs to add or update a payment method, the gym will send the customer a secure email link. The customer will use that link to enter their own credit card information directly into the system through a secure, PCI-compliant page. This ensures that sensitive payment information is entered only by the cardholder and never handled verbally or visually by gym staff. Many customers already have their card information saved on their phone or computer through autofill, so the process should take about the same amount of time as providing a card number over the phone. Please click here for an overview of the changes...

Text Request Multi-Factor Authentication

Dear My Gymers, You should have received a couple emails from Text Request regarding multi-factor authentication. The email details everything you need to know. Here are some bullet points: From what we have seen, you will need to take action if you were to log out at any point going forward. Unclear if Text Request will forcibly log you out.  Your current password will not work, and you need to initiate a Forgot Password to reset it. This is when you will be asked to provide a cell phone for MFA. You cannot use your business line; it must be a real cell phone.  Since it is not often that you will be logged out and need to log back in, we do not feel it is absolutely imperative that everyone has their own account and cell phone number configured. Simply use the cell phone that will be most accessible at any given time within a reasonable time frame.  Please contact Text Request support if you have issues. Their contact information...

Optimizing My Gym Curriculum

Our My Gym Curriculum is carefully designed and highly effective, but we also recognize there’s a lot to learn, remember, and cover during weekly meetings. To make it simpler for teachers and save time, many elements of the curriculum have been aligned, as you will notice beginning 3/23. This streamlining is intended to make training more efficient and your weekly meetings less time-consuming. Some of the streamlined elements you may observe include: Songs, Dances, and Endings will often be aligned in younger classes. Minor Obstacles (with variations) will now be aligned between Ninja Jr andNinja Training classes. Weekly Skill name has been retired; Preschool Gymnastics andNinja Jr classes will now share the same Conditioning Skill. As always, remind your team to tailor instruction to each age and skill level, adapting elements thoughtfully even when they appear across multiple classes. This is one step toward making teaching and training easier for our teams. More to come soon! If you have any questions, please contact...

Director Spotlight: Jordan Condon

Jordan Condon has been an incredible leader of the Syracuse gym for the past 11 years! Through her dedication, passion, and vision, she has guided the gym to some of its strongest performance numbers in years. Under her leadership, the gym maintains a vibrant balance of parties and enrollment, achieving a remarkable conversion ratio that consistently averages well over 60%! Beyond the numbers, Jordan’s greatest impact is the culture she fosters. She has built a loyal, long-term team and leads with warmth, energy, and a genuine commitment to the families and children she serves. The fact that three of her team members have more than 10 years at the gym speaks volumes about her leadership. Including Jordan and a previous director who fills in occasionally, there are five team members with a combined 60 years of My Gym experience! Her thoughtful marketing strategies have also strengthened Preschool Prep enrollment, bringing more families into the program. Liability Waiver Updates: Action Required

The standard liability waiver language has been updated to remove references to COVID-19 and provide clearer language for the different types of activities offered at My Gym (in-gym programs, birthday parties, and offsite/mobile events). Because waiver language may already be updated and customized by the individual gyms, these updates cannot be pushed system-wide and must be updated individually by each location if needed. Please note that changing the default legal language in MGM does not alter any completed/signed waivers already on file. Review the updated waiver language in the document linked below and update the applicable areas within your gym’s systems and materials. Updated waiver language: Located in the MGM Tutorial (Help/Support > MGM Tutorials): MGM Legal Waivers and Terms. Note: Make sure to use copy from the provided Google document to paste into MGM (copy from outside sources will cause issues). We recommend completing these updates as soon as possible to ensure your gym’s forms reflect the current language. Waivers to Update: Visitor and Member Information Agreement (VIMA) In...
