We have received reports of some gyms encountering an “Unexpected Gateway Response” error when processing batch or manual payments in MGM. This issue is related to a PCI compliance configuration. In these cases, the payment typically processes successfully when retried approximately one minute later from the family account. At this time, we do not believe customer-initiated website transactions are impacted. Our development team is working with Global Payments/Heartland to resolve the issue, though an estimated timeline is not yet available. If you have recently received a PCI Compliance questionnaire, please note that there are system updates required to ensure full compliance, including possible changes to how credit cards are manually entered in MGM. If your questionnaire is overdue or approaching its deadline, please contact Mae Perez at mperez@mygym.com for...

Hey there, We’re sharing an important update regarding merchandise fulfillment. MGE is transitioning vendors from OCC to PromoShop. During this changeover, outgoing shipments will be temporarily paused for roughly two weeks. Any orders submitted by the end of day 1/31 will still ship from OCC before inventory moves to the new warehouse. Once the transition is complete, order fulfillment is expected to restart shortly thereafter. We’re targeting a return to shipping on or before 2/13. To stay fully stocked, gyms are encouraged to order only as much as they need for the next few weeks so there’s enough for everyone. Check out the closeout section for great deals during our “warehouse moving sale.” Where to find ShopMyGym: ShopMyGym.com Key Details at a Glance:• Vendor change: OCC → PromoShop• Orders placed by 11:59 pm ET on 1/31 will ship before transfer• Shipping will be paused from 2/1–2/13 during the transition As always, please reach out to merch@mygym.com if you have questions or need support during this transition. Thanks for your understanding!...

Dear Franchisees,We wanted to share a few updates as to the status of our tech platforms. Early Saturday morning, party and LGE sign-in links were throwing an error. Our developers deployed a fix right away, though some users may have experienced lingering cache issues after the fact. Article links from the splash page were also broken and fixed on Monday morning. Website users experienced intermittent errors when completing various actions online. These issues were caused by security measures we put in place to prevent attacks; legitimate users were unintentionally affected. The developers tweaked some settings, and the team is testing and actively monitoring the changes to ensure they are the right blend of secure yet practical for the average user. Our logs tell us whenever someone gets an error, and if we compare today’s logs to last week’s, we feel we were largely on the other side of this. Please continue to send the Help Desk your specific cases if there are any that still need attention. The developers...

Hello, Franchisees! The cost for our 2026 music licensing contracts from BMI and ASCAP is $518 per gym. If you wish to participate in the program, we ask that you please send an email to accounting@mygym.com no later than Wednesday, January 14th. It is important that you opt in by this deadline to be included in our master agreement. We cannot add you afterward. We will process your payment using the account we have on file for royalties unless you specify otherwise. All payments will be processed at the end of January. If you are not familiar with why we have to pay this fee each year, please read below… What exactly is music licensing? Whenever music is played in a public setting, such as your gym, it is subject to licensing fees. You are not legally allowed to play music in your business unless you have the proper license to do so. Simply purchasing or streaming the music through iTunes or Spotify, for example, does not give you the right...

If you haven’t touched your Google Business Profile lately… it is costing you leads and enrollments. As the current leader in search, Google maintains an overwhelming dominance in the search engine market, holding over 90% global market share (around 91-92% in early 2025), with even higher figures on mobile (over 94-96%). Google processes billions of searches daily, while competitors process tiny fractions (Bing about 3-4% and Yahoo about 1%). That means, when parents search “kids classes near me” or “birthday parties,” Google decides who shows up first… and who doesn’t. Lucky for us, we can use several of Google’s services FOR FREE! And, by following a few best practices, we can also increase our Google “ranking.” What is a “Google ranking” anyway, and why is it important??? Google’s ranking systems are designed to sort through hundreds of billions of webpages and other digital content to present the most relevant, useful results on the first page – in a fraction of a second! When someone considers enrolling their child in a program, they...

We know December is a wild and crazy month! As noted in the curriculum, our official Celebration Week is scheduled for the week of 12/22. However, we encourage you to run your celebration marches across the weeks of 12/15 and 12/22 based on your gym’s schedule and holiday closures. In this case, it’s absolutely fine to split your celebrations—for example, holding them on the 17th and 18th and then again on the 22nd and 23rd the following week. Review your gym calendar and choose the plan that works best for your team and your families. As a reminder, AP stickers are available on Shop My Gym, and multiple milestone signs are available in the print system under Programs > Achievement Program. 🎉 In addition, we encourage you to plan in advance for the next email cycle, which is scheduled to go out the week of 12/29. We are loading the Achievement Program emails into the email marketing system early, so you’ll be able to preschedule them early next week!...

Good afternoon My Gymers, We wanted to update you on a few things in tech: 1. Some users are receiving a message that they are blocked from accessing MGM. We have found that this is most common on personal laptops on wireless networks. This is a temporary security measure, and in most cases, access will be restored automatically within 24 hours. If the issue persists, please contact tech@mygym.comor try accessing MGM from a different device or network. This is a side effect of the tweaks we continue to make in order to secure our network from attacks. We are continuing to work on this to find a balance between secure and overly restrictive. 2. You may have received a system email with the subject line “Congrats – You are registered!” and with curriculum login information. This was an automatic system email that was triggered when everyone logged into the updated curriculum platform. Please ignore this email and continue to access curriculum through the menu in MGM. 3. In rare cases,...

This month, we’re breaking down when (and why) you should boost a post on Meta — especially helpful with Cyber Monday right around the corner. See below: ******************* Marketing Minute: When (and Why) You Should Boost a Post on Meta Think of boosting as your quick, high-impact spotlight – the tool you turn on when you want a specific post, promotion, event, or message to get extra visibility. So… should you boost posts even if you already have recurring trial ads running? Absolutely! Your recurring ads (like Eulerity) are your steady, long-game strategy. They always run in the background, consistently bringing in trial leads. Boosting is different. It’s your pop-up power move – something you do a few times a month when a certain post deserves extra reach or attention. It’s fast, flexible, and low-lift, and it gets more eyes on the things moms care about. When used at the right time, it highlights exactly what you want families to notice right now. When to Boost a Post When...

We have implemented a few new security functions in an effort to protect our system. When a new account is created on the website, the user will be required to verify their email address before they are able to proceed with the booking. This is a widely accepted practice in modern e-commerce. Users will be asked to log in or create a new account when checking birthday party availability. We understand this is not ideal and are still looking at other options. The website will not allow users to create multiple accounts from the same IP address in the same calendar day. Per the last update, we are still fine-tuning these security measures, but it was important to implement them now to err on the side of caution. +++ While we successfully stopped a similar issue last week, bad actors are attempting to launch another attack. Though we will avoid it as much as possible, you may experience short disruptions as we reinforce and fine tune our defenses. We...
