New Information Regarding Heartland and Global

Dear Franchisees, An update with more details on what to expect with Heartland, the new CC response codes we’re seeing, etc. is in the works pending clarification from the team at Global. In the meantime, we wanted to give you a quick update on a few things: You may see a lot of Invalid Zip Code messages that you are not used to. Currently, Heartland is requiring a zip code for credit card transactions. MGE and Global are working together to determine our options and make this easier on our gyms.  Do Not Retry and Retry Later are also new responses we haven’t seen before. They are both a form of Decline, though the latter allows you to try again at a later time. We are awaiting clarification on the difference between Do Not Retry and Decline.  If a credit card transaction returns a BLANK response, it did not go through and the customer will remain due for payment. Important Global Payments Update – Action Recommended

Dear Franchisees, Every merchant account has been transferred to Heartland Portico. A test charge and void were completed in each gym to ensure there was a connection to the new platform. We urge you to log into your Heartland admin portal (contact mperez@mygym.com if you need your login info) to confirm new transactions are coming through. Go to Reports > Activity Log > Generate Report. If you do not see any activity in Heartland and/or if you still see recent activity in your Global portal, please let Mae know ASAP. Other things to know: Heartland is still supported by the same familiar team. We were informed by Global Payments that they are transferring all accounts to a new platform called Heartland Portico. Tech has been working behind the scenes with Global to implement the new platform in MGM and on the website, and we are ready to roll out the changes. There is nothing for you to do at this moment. Further details will be sent to the owner’s email address on file with MGE. If you do not receive this email by Monday EOD, contact Mae Perez at mperez@mygym.com. Important Notice Regarding Birthday Party Bookings

Over the last few weeks, we have received reports of birthday parties being booked for 11:30 PM rather than 11:30 AM. All affected parties were booked on the website for time slots that began in AM (e.g., 11:30 AM) and end in PM (e.g., 1:00 PM). The Tech Team is working to identify the cause of this error, as it appears to be sporadic and random. In the meantime, please review all birthday party email confirmations as they come in. Affected parties will show the erroneous time slot in the email. Update on 40th Anniversary

We’re almost there!  Here are a few updates and “need-to-knows”: Promotional items will be arriving SOON! Important Notice Regarding Batch Payment Defects in MGM

Dear Franchisees, We want to notify you of two bugs that were recently identified and fixed in MGM. Both issues appeared during batch payment transactions. 1) Identical dollar amounts marked as duplicate transactions; payment date moved forward When two payments of the same dollar amount appeared next to each other on the batch list, one was erroneously marked as a duplicate and subsequently declined. The child’s payment date moved forward, though no money was collected. A fix was released last week, and all affected transactions were retroactively fixed. If you would like to double-check your records, review batch results going back to November 1st. Look for transactions marked DUPLICATE; then check that account to ensure their payment schedule is on track.   2) When an account has store credit, a batch marks the payment as collected but does not deplete the store credit. If the store credit on file is equal to or more than the amount due in the batch, the payment is collected with store credit but...

Zipwhip Update

Important Zipwhip Notice:We have received a notice from Zipwhip that our services may be blocked tomorrow, November 30, due to new regulations surrounding SMS messaging. Though MGE submitted the requested information earlier this month, we are still receiving notices warning of possible service interruptions. We are currently working with Zipwhip Support to ensure they have all the information they need to keep messages flowing.
