As a follow-up to the Climber Safety update from 5/10/22, we have been working on ways to improve the stability of those that are worn. With help from our builder and a test gym, we have identified a way to firm up a “loose or wobbly” climber. Stability braces can be added to each panel of the climber. A release is scheduled for Sunday, July 24th at 9:00 PM ET. The release will require a server reboot that may cause MGM and the website to go offline for 5-10 minutes. We aim to announce planned downtime with as much notice as possible. Sometimes, however, issues arise between announcement and release that necessitate rescheduling. We will continue to keep you updated as any changes come about. Enhancements and updates scheduled in this release: 🔷 New VIMA Signature Fields We have added new signature fields for an additional parent and chaperone. No pen icon means the VIMA has been signed by a parent. A red pen icon will continue to indicate that no signatures are on file. Last month, MGE sent out an update defining some changes in curriculum along with important updates to our age groups within our Core Programs. For your convenience, the update has been re-attached, below. This week, those changes are officially live on the Curriculum Center. You will notice that the ages printed at the top of each program reflect the new age groups and that we have reintroduced Tiny Tykes as a Core Program. As a reminder, curriculum for Tiny Tykes can be accessed in the same page as Waddlers (i.e., “Tiny Tykes and Waddlers”) within the Weekly Curriculum. If you have not yet adapted your age ranges, you may continue to run curriculum exactly the same as you have been with the “Adjusted Age Groups” (aka “AAG”), that were introduced in 2021. For the last year, gyms all over North America and across the pond have successfully run programs with a modified version of our traditional age groups. These “Adjusted Age Groups” were implemented during the height of the pandemic, when many My Gyms were having to run combination classes, with very broad age groups due to lower enrollment. Luckily, with every passing month, we get closer to the revenue levels of where we left off in Q1 2020, due in no small part to the Premium Operations Model. This is a positive trend and a great sign for us all! That being said, it is time for My Gyms to begin phasing out the Adjusted Age Groups (or “AAG”) and return to a more traditional version of our age groups. Below, you’ll find the age groups that will define our My Gym programs going forward and indefinitely. It is unbearable to think that senseless acts of violence continue to devastate our communities across the country. The attacks at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas and Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, NY are just two of the atrocities that have taken place in the last few weeks. I think we all feel a bit helpless, overwhelmed, and filled with a certain amount of despair; it shouldn’t be like this.
