We have added several new videos for you to use in your Facebook Ads. Please note that the ads in the videos intentionally contain less text than they did previously. They also do not contain a specific trial offer (2 for $2, 2 for $29, etc.). Having shorter copy in video ads will increase the performance of your ads, decrease the likelihood of having your “reach” limited, and lessen the chances your ad/account will be flagged. MGM Release A release is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 29th at 9:00 PM ET. This release includes minor bug fixes. The release will require a server reboot that may cause MGM and the website to go offline for 5-10 minutes. My Gym App Update Our new app is almost here! We are submitting to the Apple app store in mid-February (Android to be released soon after), which should take a few days for approval and publication. Oh no! Did you hit “Send Campaign Now” but see a typo in your email? Not to worry; you can continue editing your email, and even adjust your email lists, up until the minute before your email goes out. Emails are held in a queue until 5 minutes past the top of the next hour. If you catch your mistake at 9:26 AM, you can still fix it up until 10:05 AM. Just try not to cut it too close. 🙂 The same grace period applies to prescheduled emails. You may continue editing the campaign and lists up until 10:05 AM the day of the scheduled send. The last 21 months have tested us all, and MGM was no exception. Alongside the Operations Team, Tech has made the most significant changes to MGM since the launch of MGM 3.0 in January 2016. We have crossed off a huge chunk of our wish list, but MGM remains a living system that will continually improve next year and beyond. We are already hard at work on big things coming in 2022: My Gym App We are currently in the late testing stages of the My Gym utility app. Customers will be able to access their accounts to book classes, camps, and parties in a more streamlined fashion on their mobile device. We anticipate the app being available for download in the App Store and Google Play store in late January 2022. January will be here before we know it (and not a moment too soon, right?), and we’re excited to tell you about some added extras you’ll soon see in the Curriculum Center. New tools! First, we are adding a couple of tools to make your lives in the gym a bit easier! In addition to the Weekly Equipment Pull List, we will now also include a Weekly Meeting Agenda and a Suggested Floor Map. The Weekly Meeting Agenda will accompany the Weekly Curriculum and will replace the boiler-plate document found on the Operations Manual. The new version contains more information and guidance from MGE than the previous incarnation and can be downloaded and edited according to your needs. The MGE-provided agenda items include a weekly Team Training Plan assignment, suggested staff games, pertinent MGE updates, a glance at upcoming dates/potential events to plan for, and other “need-to-knows.” We hope this helps streamline training and makes your Weekly Meeting a smoother process to plan overall. This is a reminder that, if you are running Facebook Ads, it is very likely that the cost of leads will increase dramatically in November and December. This is the prime season when retailers advertise the most, and we’ll end up competing for the same audience on Facebook/Instagram. What does this mean for your My Gym ads? We advise that you watch your “Cost per Lead” closely. At the end of the week: Set the date range to “the last 7 days” and note your “total spend” and “cost per lead.” Do that again for the “last 30 days” date range and note those same numbers. Do this once more for the month of September and note those numbers. What to look for:This will give you a good idea of what your total spend and cost per lead were in these previous time frames, which will help you decide if you should continue advertising or not.
