My Gym App The launch date for the My Gym app must be moved once again, and hopefully for the final time, to March 31st. We thank you for your continued patience. Zipwhip Replacement We are excited to announce a preliminary partnership with Twilio to replace Zipwhip as our SMS provider. Twilio is an industry leader in customer engagement with clients like eBay, Airbnb, and Lyft. Twilio acquired Zipwhip in July 2021; and, with the technology and user interface staying mostly the same, we can rest assured that it will be a seamless transition. My Gym Honors Black History Month

Today marks the start of Black History Month, and we at My Gym want to honor all Black Americans through conscientious thoughts, words, and deeds. As you may have seen, MGE’s Diversity Board and our Programming Division have worked together to create some programming integrations you will see throughout curricula in February. From relays to songs, dances, and even our Kidpower Minutes – we’re highlighting Black Olympians and athletes, musicians, artists, inventors, activists, and more. We would also like to encourage everyone to integrate music from Black artists across all (kid-appropriate) musical genres. MGE would like to formally introduce Rathi Devapitchai, the newest member of the Tech Division. Many of you have already worked with Rathi via the Help Desk. She brought her strong technical background and experience to our team in June 2021 and has proven to be a great asset to our division. After a decade together, Gene Levi and MGE have decided to part ways. We have added several new videos for you to use in your Facebook Ads.  Please note that the ads in the videos intentionally contain less text than they did previously.  They also do not contain a specific trial offer (2 for $2, 2 for $29, etc.).  Having shorter copy in video ads will increase the performance of your ads, decrease the likelihood of having your “reach” limited, and lessen the chances your ad/account will be flagged.  You can read more about this issue in this blog post. MGM Release and App Update

MGM Release A release is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 29th at 9:00 PM ET. This release includes minor bug fixes. Oh no! Did you hit “Send Campaign Now” but see a typo in your email? Not to worry; you can continue editing your email, and even adjust your email lists, up until the minute before your email goes out. Emails are held in a queue until 5 minutes past the top of the next hour. If you catch your mistake at 9:26 AM, you can still fix it up until 10:05 AM. MGM Update – What’s Coming in 2022

The last 21 months have tested us all, and MGM was no exception. Alongside the Operations Team, Tech has made the most significant changes to MGM since the launch of MGM 3.0 in January 2016. We have crossed off a huge chunk of our wish list, but MGM remains a living system that will continually improve next year and beyond. We are already hard at work on big things coming in 2022: My Gym App We are currently in the late testing stages of the My Gym utility app. Customers will be able to access their accounts to book classes, camps, and parties in a more streamlined fashion on their mobile device. Curriculum Additions in January 2022

January will be here before we know it (and not a moment too soon, right?), and we’re excited to tell you about some added extras you’ll soon see in the Curriculum Center. New tools! First, we are adding a couple of tools to make your lives in the gym a bit easier! In addition to the Weekly Equipment Pull List, we will now also include a Weekly Meeting Agenda and a Suggested Floor Map. The Weekly Meeting Agenda will accompany the Weekly Curriculum and will replace the boiler-plate document found on the Operations Manual. The new version contains more information and guidance from MGE than the previous incarnation and can be downloaded and edited according to your needs.
