We are currently offering a product called the My Gym Fun Box, which includes active-play toys, instructional videos, and Fun Sheets. We are testing in select markets via email and digital ads. However, if you would like to help us expand the test’s reach, we have a suggested post in the SMR that you can use on November 18. Owners will receive 10% of profits for people who purchase from their territory. Check out the website at www.mygymfun.com. And follow the new Instagram account, www.instagram.com/MyGymFunBox. Air Purifiers

As we head into the colder months with people spending more time indoors, we’re receiving many requests for MGE-recommended Air Purifiers. We recognize the need to assure your members and give them peace of mind while also providing a safe environment for everyone who visits your gym. In researching any subject, MGE always recommends best and safest practices, but we also focus on keeping franchisees’ spending as low as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to receive manufacturer or installation discounts at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The items below are presented as potential options and are not a guarantee against illness. When it comes to the health and safety of your members and staff, we always advise that you abide by CDC guidelines first and foremost. AIR PURIFIERS Running an air purifier indoors to help filter indoor allergens and pollutants is a good idea anytime. Below are two popular options with descriptions and manufacturers’ overviews. MGM Release – Saturday, November 7 at 8 PM ET

⚠️ The release will require a server reboot that may cause MGM and the website to go offline for 5-10 increments between 8:00 PM-9:00 PM ET.  Please follow MGE’s posts in the Facebook MGE Community for changes or updates.  Though we make every effort to adhere to the schedule, the release date is subject to change. If you have any issues accessing MGM after the release is complete, first try clearing your cache.  If the issue(s) persist, contact the Help Desk at tech@mygym.com. Enhancements and updates scheduled in this release (subject to change): 🔷 New Paperless Performance Evaluations for Classes, Camps, and Birthday Parties We’re happy to announce that MGE’s Support and Tech teams have been successful in bringing a valuable new upgrade to fruition!  The idea of moving our Class Quality Checklist, Blank Evaluations, and Detailed Evaluations to MGM is not a new one.  This has been requested by FABs and franchisees in the past.  As often is the case with tech, this also presented an opportunity to improve...

Curriculum Center Videos Password

We are reinstating the temporary video password mymo until all work on the Curriculum Center is complete. The video links will open in a separate browser window or tab on Vimeo.com. This is normal and not a cache issue. Thank you! +++ UPDATE 10/25: We would like to give everyone an update on the work that is being done behind the scenes on the Curriculum and Resources in MGM. Because we cannot take these sections down for maintenance for very long, we must work on what needs to be done in the background for short periods of time during off hours. For this reason, you may occasionally experience minor issues such as missing menus or changing video link behavior. In very rare instances, MGM as a whole may become unavailable for 1-2 minutes. We avoid this whenever possible. Our aim is to keep the content of the curriculum accessible at all times while we work in the background, so we apologize for the occasional quirks.  Last week, we sent the...

We avoid this whenever possible. Our aim is to keep the content of the curriculum accessible at all times while we work in the background, so we apologize for the occasional quirks.  Last week, we sent the update titled Curriculum Center Videos Follow-Up (Action Requested) showing what video links are supposed to look like (a small pop-up window). Curriculum Center Videos Follow-Up (Action Requested)

Per our update on 10/20, some users reported that they were unable to access the curriculum videos. After some investigating, it was determined to be a cache issue. To find out if you are experiencing a cache issue, click on any video link on the curriculum. If the video opens up as a new window on Vimeo.com, your browser is loading an old version of the site and your cache must be cleared. When your cache is properly cleared and you are loading the latest version of the site, the video links will open in a pop-up window. Upon entering the password (mymo), the video will appear. ⚠️ Action Requested We instituted a temporary password because that is the only way the video links will load for everyone regardless of cache status. Please take a moment to check your video links. If you are certain you have cleared your cache and videos are still opening up incorrectly, please contact Mae Perez at mperez@mygym.com. We will be removing the passwords...

Instagram Link in Bio

Eager to share more than one link in your Instagram bio? Or maybe you use a third-party service like LinkTree? Well, good news. We’ve uploaded a customizable, My Gym-branded Instagram landing page to MGM for you to use. Get more website views and online bookings from Instagram by ensuring that your followers can find exactly what they’re looking for while scrolling through your feed. Instagram allows only one link to be posted at a time in your bio, so you are left either A) continuously changing your main link to reflect current promotions, B) using a third party service (sometimes paid), or C) using your website homepage URL. Now you’ll be able to use just one link to direct your followers to specific pages on your website or to your other social platforms. Important Safety Reminders

As many of our gyms are starting to regrow, we’d like to remind you that safety should be at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Below are a few reminders for you to review during your next staff meeting. All of the equipment in the gym is made for children. Staff and parents should refrain from using the equipment in ways that include but are not limited to: Climbing on the stall bars or rock wallHanging on the high bar, monkey bars, or Space FlightWalking or sliding on slidesJumping on the trampolinesWalking on the soft stairsSitting on the molly ball or crawl and roll/tumbleSitting or walking on the planks/fulcrum *We do know that, on occasion, a staff member may need to place a foot on equipment for spotting, however, an adult’s full weight could result in equipment failure.Additional Reminders: The tire swing should be hung from two ropes/straps. This helps to:More evenly distribute the weightPrevent the tire from swinging in such a way that could loosen the eyebolt aboveThe half bucket...

Cyber Monday

Coming to a My Gym near you, it’s Cyber Monday! Every year millions upon millions of dollars are spent during Cyber Monday. In 2019, a record topping $9.4 billion was spent just online! A clear, simple, enticing deal can ensure a Cyber Monday success.  On a year like no other, My Gyms are running more programs than ever before: Outdoor classes, STEAM Learn & Play, My Gym LIVE, etc. This year we strongly recommend an “easy-to-understand” Cyber offer. A simple way for parents to save, and realize how much they are saving in the process, is to give the same percentage off ALL programs. Codes can be program or activity name plus percentage amount (e.g., STEAM25). “It’s Cyber Monday at My Gym (your location)! Buy more and save! Use the applicable code listed below to save 25% off ALL programs: Birthday Parties, My Gym Camps, Gift Certificates, and MORE! Enrollment in any class includes a Free Lifetime Membership. Savings end at midnight, so buy and save now!”  Directives for...

New Digital Advertising Partner

Hello!  These days, running Facebook/Instagram and Google AdWords ads is not optional for a small business.  It’s a pay-to-play environment if we want to reach new clients and grow our revenue.  MGE has created a simple and affordable option for you to get support with your Facebook/Instagram Ads and Google AdWords.  Scott Hendison, founder of Search Commander Inc., is a familiar name to many of you, as Scott worked with numerous franchisees from 2015-2017.  In 2017, in an effort to streamline vendors, MGE transitioned franchisees to Reach Local.  The relationship with Reach Local was great for some but rocky for others.  In addition, Reach Local required a minimum of $500 a month, making this option cost prohibitive for some franchisees.  We’ve been speaking to Scott for some time now, since our world seems to have stabilized in many areas, and we feel this is the right time to relaunch this relationship.  We know all franchisees have cut expenses drastically, but, in order to grow, we must put some dollars...

Space Flight Safety Notice

Hello!  Now that many of you are open, we want to remind you of an important Space Flight hardware detail that is often overlooked. Pictured is a “Wire Rope Clip” (also known as a “Wire Rope Clamp,” U-bolt, or U-clip): In the file, “Space Flight Hardware and Assembly Directives,” you will see that 3 Wire Rope Clips are used at one end of the Space Flight cable installation.  It is possible that you have another 3 Wire Cable Clips at the other end as well, for a total of 6, but this is rare.  It is common for Wire Rope Clips to be installed incorrectly, which diminishes their strength. The images below show the correct and incorrect ways to install the Wire Rope Clips.  Note that the saddle of the clip is in contact with the live end of the cable.  Please inspect your hardware to be sure your Wire Rope Clips are installed properly.  You may also email a picture to equipment@mygym.com so we can confirm proper installation....

Email Marketing Update and Mailchimp Option

Dear Franchisees, Our account is still under review and we still do not have an ETA for restoring service. Meanwhile, we are continuing to work behind the scenes on both temporary solutions and potentially permanent changes to our vendor going forward. Several gyms have started to explore the Mailchimp option. If you are interested in joining, please see the account setup guide and tutorial on the Operations Manual. NOTE: If you were sent the tutorial via email, please download the updated version on the Operations Manual. Please remember that Mailchimp is not a complete replacement, but a viable solution for most situations in a pinch.  We thank you again for your continued patience and understanding.
