Schedule Paper Update

Email Platform Transition Update

We were hopeful that we could bring you an amazing new, easy to use, cutting-edge email platform in ReachEdge.  As you know, we have had several delays due to a variety of development hurdles and testing hiccups.  Though we know many of you are eager to move away from ExactTarget, we do not want to roll out a replacement that isn’t 100% ready, glitch-free, and even better than the original. We have made the difficult decision not to continue forward with ReachEdge as our new email marketing platform.  The ReachEdge team has been wonderful and has spent hundreds of hours converting their platform into a custom email solution for My Gym; but, in the end, it is simply not meeting our organization’s unique needs. So what’s next?  We are currently testing 3 tried-and-true platforms and plan to release more information, webinar dates, and onboarding schedules very soon.  ExactTarget will continue to be available until we are ready to make our move.  There is currently a scary looking message that...

Active Shooter Protocol- Safety at My Gym in case of a threat

We want to ensure that all staff members and clients are safe at all times.  In today’s world, it is important to be prepared in case there is ever a nearby threat to you, your staff, or your clientele. MGE has deeply considered national protocol available from the FBI and law enforcements agencies, and we have researched many protocols instituted in schools and daycares.  Our formal advice, however, is to contact your local FBI Field Office or Police Department to devise and implement a specific Active Shooter Protocol (ASP) – one that will be most effective for your specific My Gym location and your team.  After collaborating the appropriate protocol for your My Gym, you can educate and train your team members and then practice with them. Even if you already have an Active Shooter or preventative plan in place, still contact your local Police Department or FBI Field Office so they can verify that your plan is the most effective for your My Gym. Credit Card Chargebacks

Chargebacks continue to be an ongoing issue for My Gyms and other businesses who use recurring billing. With that said, we are extremely pleased to announce some changes set forth by our valued vendor, Global Payments. Through much negotiation, Global has agreed to reduce the Chargeback fee from $35 to just $5. Occasionally, there is an additional Retrieval fee which has been reduced from $20 to $2.50.
