My Gym and “Smallfoot” Partnership Program

My Gym is excited to be partnering with Warner Brothers and the release of their new family movie, “Smallfoot,” opening in theatres on September 28th. This partnership will run from September 10 – October 20, 2018. 2nd Annual MGCA Halloween Party Event!

As autumn fast approaches, My Gym is pleased to announce our participation in the second annual MGCA Halloween Fundraising Event! Last year’s Halloween event brought great success, with over 50 gyms participating to raise more than $20,000 for children in need. Our national MGCA PNO this April was even bigger; 90 gyms raised $26,000. Our goal for Halloween this year is to raise $30,000 with 100+ gyms participating! We love the growing enthusiasm toward MGCA and cannot do this without your help. Just as last year, we ask that every gym participate in this national fundraiser by adding a $3 donation to your admission fee for the party. If you already charge, you can raise the price by $3 and donate those proceeds to MGCA. If you do not, please ask for a $3 donation per member in attendance. Email Platform / ExactTarget Termination Reminder

Please be reminded of these important dates. We have added clarification to some items below. IMPORTANT EXACTTARGET CUTOFF DATES: Do not schedule emails further out than September 15th. We understand that many gyms stay on track by planning and scheduling weeks in advance; we apologize for the temporary inconvenience. This is a strong recommendation from MGE. All gyms should be using the new platform in the second half of September, so we do not want you to do double work. Limit your email blasts beginning September 1st until all gyms are fully transitioned onto the new platform (est. September 15th). Utilize targeted sends to smaller lists, or focus more on social media marketing during this transitional period. You may continue to market your major events as you normally would. Marketing Opt-In/Opt-Out Function

We have added a new function to MGM that allows customers to control their marketing email subscription status upon signup. In many countries (e.g., Canada and the UK), this is a legal requirement. The function is toggled OFF for US gyms since it is not yet required by law in the states. You can toggle the setting here: Admin > Website > Settings > Show Marketing Email Opt-In on Email Collection. When enabled, a checkbox appears on any page that collects an email address. Pages include Contact Us, Account Registration, Party Sign-In, and Online Forms (if an email field is included). Customers can control their opt-in/opt-out status from the Profile tab of their client interface. We’ve been so excited to see several My Gyms landing very lucrative mobile contracts at their local libraries. This may be an opportunity for you to showcase My Gym Mobile! We suggest you do the following research as soon as possible: Look at the events calendar for your local libraries. Are children’s events planned? Find out the names and contact info of the children’s librarians. Contact the librarians to ask how you can have My Gym Mobile added to their events calendars. Ask if there is a budget for events (tactfully find out what you can charge). In many cases, you will be able to determine if vendors are paid for their events based on the type of business, travel time, etc. Determine if the events are done in a separate room or in the children’s library area.
