Email Updates In an effort to keep our My Gym operational information secure, we are changing our email update distribution list policy. MGE will now send email updates to only your [account]@mygym.com and/or owner email address on file. This is the most efficient way for both MGE and owners to control the audience of our confidential memos and trade secrets. Please be reminded that MGE updates are also posted on the MGE Facebook Community and MGM (Resources > Updates). Your key staff will still be able to access the information they need via these methods if they do not have access to your [account]@mygym.com email address. Last week, My Gym CEO, Cory Bertisch, announced his generous offer to donate $100 for every gym that raises $500 or more through their Halloween Parties this year. Update 10/18: Thank you so much for participating in this great cause. We had involvement from many different fronts, and, together, we made a difference. Below are the final numbers: $4,238.96 – My Gym Donation Boxes $6,050 – Giving Grid Donation Website $1,850 – Obstacle Course Fundraiser Total = $12,148.96 This fundraising idea began with the devastation in Texas, when nobody could have foreseen we would have two more disastrous hurricanes coming in such a short amount of time. Within a couple of weeks, it was apparent there were three separate areas toward which we should devote our efforts. We were happy to learn of Americares, a very reputable and longstanding foundation that goes where disaster strikes to help people in crisis. This organization had already set up a hurricane relief fund to assist victims of hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. All your generous donations will soon be helping families in need though this caring charity (www.americares.org), and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts....

Previously, the directives for Preschool Prep recommended setting up a free guest class for any student who is interested. We understand that might not be the best option for your gym and have updated the directives. The current recommendation regarding Preschool Prep is as follows: While a free guest class is always recommended, we understand that this may not be ideal for Preschool Prep. In lieu of a free class, attempt to set up a Preschool Prep Orientation with the parents. This would be a 20-minute appointment where you give them a tour, go over some curriculum, show equipment used, review policies, and answer any questions. If client is still interested in trying the class, you can offer the parent/guardian a one-time drop-in for $XX. This amount can then be applied to client’s monthly fee when enrolled.
