New Preferred Vendor for Employment Screenings and Background Checks

MGE is always researching ways to improve our vendor relationships and ensure our franchisees are receiving the best discounts possible. After researching and negotiating with several companies, we have decided to switch our preferred vendor for employee background checks from PreciseHire to a company called PreciseCheck. PreciseCheck came highly recommended, and they were able to offer our franchisees an exclusive discount, saving $12 per background check on the recommended package and $2 on the basic package. Hello, In good times and bad, having each other is one of our best resources – our My Gym family. While some My Gyms are doing very well, many have reported very slow new business the past few months. You are not alone; we will get through this together. The following are a few thoughts we wanted to share with you. The data supports your feelings. The back-to-school season (August-October) is typically our 2nd busiest season (January-March is #1), but this year has been different. If you’ve been feeling the pinch in enrollment/trials, know that many others are in the same boat, including other small businesses beyond My Gym. For US and Canadian gyms: Similar to past years, August was typical and a decent month. In September, we immediately noticed a decline, and by October, it was clear things were different. Safety Update – Immediate Action Required

My Gym Franchisees, Thank you for your patience and compliance with this Space Flight closure.  We have been working as quickly as possible to reopen the ride while ensuring it is as safe as possible.  *** Reminder: Children 5 and older may not ride the Space Flight by holding the trolley handles, in a Spinning Disc, in a Jungle Rope, or with any other apparatus or in any other manner.  Children 4 and younger may ride in a hard-plastic store-manufactured swing with a safety strap or in a “green full bucket swing.” Here’s what is new: We have officially decided to move forward with using a harness on Space Flight for all children 3 and older.  Riding Space Flight by “holding the handles” will be retired and banned in all My Gym locations. Technology Update – KNOW Users and Omnify Status

KNOW Update New Users After much discussion with Omnify, KNOW, and franchisees, we have decided to reverse course and have all new KNOW users be created directly in KNOW. With this reversal, we can now make a crystal-clear distinction between the two companies. KNOW Admins should now see the Add Users option in the dashboard (Administration > Users). You no longer need to create team member accounts in Omnify right now. Once you begin training and onboarding on Omnify, you can create accounts as needed. Until that time comes, there is no real need to visit the Omnify dashboard at all. Mat Update

Concerns At the 2024 International My Gym Conference, concerns regarding the mats from our longtime vendor, Artistic Coverings, were voiced. Gym owners shared their thoughts on the quality of the vinyl, the stitching, and the foam. The main concerns revolved around the appearance of the mats and keeping them clean. History Artistic Coverings has been a preferred vendor of My Gym dating back to the 90s. For over 30 years, they have worked with us on new designs while maintaining reasonable prices, managing shipping costs, keeping with order lead times, and upholding the customer service standards we have grown to expect. Can you believe that we are heading into the fall season already? Sweater weather and all things spooky are just around the corner! The My Gym Foundation is excited to be kicking off the fall season with our annual Halloween party fundraiser. In years past, YOU have raised an incredible amount of money for deserving children everywhere through this nationwide event.
