This is a gentle reminder to all franchisees regarding texting best practices. Because of the high volume of texting on our corporate account, and the warnings we have received as a group, MGE has begun sending usage alerts to our higher volume accounts each month. The Texting Guidelines and Best Practices document is linked below for review as a refresher on the best way to utilize SMS. We have also updated the Texting Templates document to make more efficient use of the character limit. As we round out 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we want to draw your attention to two small curriculum tweaks (upgrades!) coming in January.  A Cappella Songs – As announced at conference, recordings of a cappella sitting songs will now be available for OPTIONAL use in the curriculum. New Preferred Vendor for Employment Screenings and Background Checks

MGE is always researching ways to improve our vendor relationships and ensure our franchisees are receiving the best discounts possible. After researching and negotiating with several companies, we have decided to switch our preferred vendor for employee background checks from PreciseHire to a company called PreciseCheck. PreciseCheck came highly recommended, and they were able to offer our franchisees an exclusive discount, saving $12 per background check on the recommended package and $2 on the basic package. Hello, In good times and bad, having each other is one of our best resources – our My Gym family. While some My Gyms are doing very well, many have reported very slow new business the past few months. You are not alone; we will get through this together. The following are a few thoughts we wanted to share with you. The data supports your feelings. The back-to-school season (August-October) is typically our 2nd busiest season (January-March is #1), but this year has been different. If you’ve been feeling the pinch in enrollment/trials, know that many others are in the same boat, including other small businesses beyond My Gym. For US and Canadian gyms: Similar to past years, August was typical and a decent month. In September, we immediately noticed a decline, and by October, it was clear things were different. Technology Update – KNOW Users and Omnify Status

KNOW Update New Users After much discussion with Omnify, KNOW, and franchisees, we have decided to reverse course and have all new KNOW users be created directly in KNOW. With this reversal, we can now make a crystal-clear distinction between the two companies. KNOW Admins should now see the Add Users option in the dashboard (Administration > Users). You no longer need to create team member accounts in Omnify right now. Once you begin training and onboarding on Omnify, you can create accounts as needed. Until that time comes, there is no real need to visit the Omnify dashboard at all.
