Cardio Kids Moving to Ancillary Programs

We love our Core Programs – we really do! – however, we understand that participation in our Cardio Kids classes has been a challenge. After careful thought, we have decided to move the Cardio Kids program to the Ancillary section, alongside Whiz Kids and Champions. The move will take place beginning with Week 41 of curriculum (October 11th). MGE is proud of the Cardio Kids program, and we support anyone who is currently offering it and would like to keep doing so. Going forward, you’ll be able to access the entire year-long capsule of curriculum from the Ancillary section; MGE will not be updating this content in the future.  Just make sure to download the appropriate curriculum aligned with whatever week we’re on in other Core Programs (e.g., Week 41, Week 42, etc.). Vaccination proof being required at entry

Several areas have instituted mandates that allow only vaccinated individuals to be inside a place of business or another type of location.  Nobody knows how many other areas will enact similar mandates or how long this will last.  To further complicate the matter, these mandates vary greatly in what type of proof is needed for the vaccinated and what requirements are in place for those who are not.  A few franchisees have asked for some type of technology inside MGM to help you with the tracking or verification process.  Attempting to develop this system would involve many issues and unknown factors.  We don’t know the states/provinces/counties/cities in which this will be implemented or how the policies for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals will differ from one place to the next.  So, after much deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that, at this time, we will not implement any new tech into MGM.  We will, of course, keep an eye on how this unfolds and revisit in the future if...

With fall on the horizon, so is Halloween and the start of the giving season! Traditionally, Halloween kicks off the giving season for MGF as well as the gyms through your fundraising at parties. With that said, we know times are tough, and we certainly do not want to put more pressure on you. We are, however, humbly asking that you do consider fundraising for the My Gym Foundation again. Important Changes to Gymnastics Class Curriculum

Now that the Olympics have come to an end, U.S.A. Gymnastics (aka “USAG”) has unveiled a new skill list for 2021 – 2029. It is standard practice for the organization to review and change their compulsory exercises every 8 years, and, as a new season begins, so too does the next program cycle. So what does this mean for My Gym? We will be making changes to our Gymnastics programming and training videos to ensure we are in sync with USAG’s prescribed routines.We are adding a new level to the Gymnastics program: Beginner, which is a true beginner’s class, meant to be a starting point before children progress to Level One.MGE is simplifying both the Level One and Level Two programs to be in line with USAG. MGE’s Programming Division has added a new feature to the Weekly Curriculum in our Curriculum Center, beginning August 23rd (Week 34).
