Hello… It appears that YELP is back to their tricks of implying that MGE or My Gym has approved or partnered with them in some capacity. This is not the case. Our strong advisement continues to be not to run any sort of advertising with YELP. Simply claim your free page, keep it updated, and reply to all reviews. It you receive an email similar to the one below, please either hit the UNSUBSCRIBE button at the bottom of the email or delete the email. We intentionally have no sort of arrangement or representative with YELP, although they repeatedly lie and state that we do. Sorry for the trouble. Send any questions to marketing@mygym.com. Thank...

Just as the world continues to evolve and grow, My Gym does as well. We are pleased to announce the addition of an inclusive email template readily available for you to send to your clients. The email serves as a valuable reminder that My Gym has always been, and continues to be, a welcoming environment for everyone. MGE would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Jen Anderson-Vue, owner of My Gym Happy Valley, OR, whose idea it was to write this message of inclusion and send it to her members. The response was very positive, and Jen was kind enough to share some of the feedback from parents with us:Thank you for sending such a positive email and enforcing a safe and inclusive place for people to bring their kids. We have loved our time at My Gym and appreciate all the hard work the coaches put it. Their care and passion for their jobs and the kiddos who attend class shines and we feel very...

Per our recent client interface refresh updates, the online camp/event booking process will be changing—for the better! Don’t worry; there’s no new complicated feature to learn. The main difference is that the scheduling and booking steps have been flipped. Old way: Mom selects 20 Summer Camp credits to purchase for her two children.Mom pays for camp credits.Mom scrolls through a long list of available dates and schedules her children in the desired camps. New way: Mom clicks the desired dates from a simplified list (no scrolling!).Mom pays the total due and her children are automatically scheduled. Things to know: Any multi-day or sibling discounting setups in the camp template will remain in place.Customers will still be able to cancel bookings and reuse the credit(s) for another date within the same camp template. If the structure of your camp requires a camp card purchase (aka the old way), you can activate the Offer online purchases of session packages only option in the template. Camp cards may also be sold in MGM....

Hello… Most gyms running Facebook ads report 10-15 leads a week at a $5-$15 CPR (cost per result). This continues to be the baseline. We have a few tips and takeaways regarding your Facebook ads. This may vary market by market, but we wanted to put this in front of you all so you can analyze and adjust if you feel necessary. Holidays may need to be avoided. Analysis:We noticed the CPR from leads brought in over Memorial Day Weekend was through the roof! We heard of CPRs as high as $60 per lead!Sort your results to view the last 60 days and note your CPR over that period.Re-sort the dates to look at May 28 – 31 (Memorial Day weekend). Note your CPR again. If the Memorial Day Weekend CPR is high, say 50% or more above normal, you might want to adjust in the future. Tip/Takeaway #1: You might want to pause your ad for similar holiday weekends, such as 4th of July (this weekend) and Labor Day weekend (9/3...

We are very excited to announce our partnership with Netflix to promote their upcoming new series, Ridley Jones. The show will launch on July 13th. Posters and window clings have shipped to gyms in the U.S. When you receive these, please hang them immediately. More in-gym materials and programming integration will be headed your way in September, so be sure to read the sponsorship updates to come. Six-year-old Ridley Jones lives with her mom and grandma at the Museum of Natural History (which is just about the coolest place on earth for kids of all ages). Every night when the lights go out and the doors lock shut, all the exhibits — the stampeding elephants, the giant squid, the Egyptian tombs — come to life, and six-year-old Ridley is in charge! Your members are sure to love this fun-filled adventure! Please send photos of your posters and window clings hung in your gym/s to strategicpartners@mygym.com as soon as...

As many gyms are starting to see restrictions loosen in their areas, the same is true of our ability to start increasing the number of children in all programs. We understand that, for some, it may not happen as fast as turning on a light switch, but we’re optimistic about the future and are looking forward to getting all of our My Gym programs back to operating at normal capacity. If restrictions have loosened or have been entirely lifted in your area and you haven’t increased your class and program capacities to normal parameters yet, you can increase them now. Below is a list of the program size parameters to work toward as we continue down this road of recovery. – Parent Participation Programs: 20 maximum – All Independent Programs: 16 maximum – Preschool Prep & STEAM: 6:1 Ratio (Check local regulations) – Camps (Check local regulations) 20 or fewer: 2 teachers20-30: 3-4 teachers30-40: 4-5 teachers You can also check the “Program Outlines at a Glance” document in the...

This year has challenged us, changed us, stripped us down to our core as a business and as individuals. We confronted the difficulties head on, never questioning who we are or what we stand for. But we did face questions – relentless, seemingly impossible questions from how to modify our programming to fit the needs of quarantine to how to stay connected to our My Gym families and communities, how to keep our staffs motivated, and how to simply keep our businesses alive. Though inundated with these important demands, we survived and are stronger for it. No My Gymer needs to ask the questions why or how? The answer is clear; we’re My Gym. We embrace challenges, overcome obstacles, and withstand every hardship with grit. We endure, and we will continue, no matter the adversities. We saw the obstacles as a way to improve, so we concentrated on becoming the premium company and service we always knew we were. With the launching of POM, we will begin to see...

We understand it is nerve-wracking to reduce safety measures that have been in place for over a year. The good news is that these are not decisions any of us needs to make. The experts (CDC and state and county health departments) are guiding us based on science and data. We’ve endured a horrible pandemic – we closed our businesses, put protective measures in place, reduced capacities, and vaccinated millions to do our part to end this pandemic. Now, in the US, we are winning the fight. It is with this in mind that we are sending our My Gym family this updated guidance. IMPORTANT: Included here is general MGE mask and COVID-19 policy guidance. We certainly understand that communities vary. Please feel free to implement policies or mask regulations in your gym that are safest and best for your community. Should I require my staff, children, or clients to wear masks in the gym? If your county/state requires it: YesIf your county/state does NOT require it: NoOf course, in...

Seeing new and returning members flock to our doors can give us an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the loyalty and dedication they have shown us during this trying time. Earlier this month, MGE put out an update explaining some necessary changes to the age ranges of our Core Programs. Since then we have also hosted a webinar pertaining to that same topic, and are happy to report that there have been very few issues reported by gyms that have switched over. There has been one recurring question, however: what to do if your gym has a high number of babies enrolled (i.e., 20 or more kids). It’s a great problem to have, but one that requires a solution nonetheless. 😊 Here is how you should set up your programs, AAG-style: Create a standalone Tiny Tykes class (or classes, if you have the need to host more than one). Set the age range in MGM from 4 months – 12 months.Set the “short description” field for the website to read “4 months – first steps.”Run the Waddlers curriculum, following any/all advisements for the non-walkers in class, as appropriate. i. The old Tiny Tykes program will not appear in the ancillary folder; we are rolling the content into...

We have great news! We’ve identified an area for improvement that is: Easy to implement,Requires next to nothing from your members,Will immediately improve your class quality,Will make your clients’ experience a little more “premium,” 😊And will make training new teachers easier. We’re presenting it to you now. You can feel free to implement it tomorrow. If you prefer to wait, we’ll be holding a “Q & A Zoom” on May 25th at 11.30 PST. Click here for Zoom registration info. Adjusted Age Groups: Every month we get closer to the revenue levels of where we left off in Q1 2020. With the introduction of the Premium Operations Model, some locations are at or above their pre-pandemic revenue levels. A positive trend and a great sign for us all! One negative trend that picked up tremendous steam during the pandemic was combination classes – aka “combo classes,” the practice of blending 2 and sometimes even 3 different age programs into one. For example: Tiny Tykes/Waddlers, Mighty Mites/Whiz Kids, etc. Ask...
