Great news! My Gym will be featured on THE TALK on CBS as part of the show’s “Gifts for Kids” segment! The show reaches approximately 3 million viewers a day! This feature will tape on 11/12 and air on 12/17. In exchange for this great exposure on national TV, My Gym is giving away 215 gift certificates for free membership and 8 weeks of classes. In recent months, we have been notified of several bench related injuries sustained by children and adults. As a result, a survey was issued to a small group of franchisees requesting additional information on their experiences with the benches. We found that, overall, franchisees wanted to see changes made to the current bench design. We are pleased to announce that a redesigned bench is now available. Changes to the current bench include: A completely padded foam top, wrapped in the same durable vinyl used on our matsRedesigned and relocated net connectorsThe addition of leg inserts so the benches will slide more easily, thus preventing tipping The new style bench tops are also available as a standalone item. The current bench frames can be modified to accommodate the new bench top. Some work from a skilled craftsman is required. After successfully working together for more than 10 years, Azul and My Gym must part ways. We regret having to inform you that our relationship with Azul Resorts by Karisma has come to an end, effective this month. The decision was a hard one for both sides, but, unfortunately, there was no option. Karisma has recently partnered with Margaritaville Resorts, a move that will result in the changing out of all their AZUL branding and the renaming of their properties accordingly. As part of their agreement, there can be no other brand association. While there may be a relationship with them to be worked out down the road, for now we must comply with their request to remove all Azul branding from My Gym locations and our website. First off, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support of the My Gym Foundation. We are doing big things, and you are a HUGE part of that. In addition to your support, the MGF team is hard at work raising extra funds to help kids in need. We held our annual fundraiser in September, which was a great success. Close to 300 people came together at our “Casino for a Cause” to raise money and awareness for our MGF kids. The impact of the event showed new donors how they can help in a positive way, and the energy and excitement led to a night they won’t soon forget. Hello, We wanted to give you a heads-up that, for about 4 weeks, we have been running My Gym video ads (again – first run was in late winter) on YouTube in all My Gym markets in US and Canada. The ads have been targeting new class leads. Starting this week, the video ads are promoting birthday parties. All advertising is targeted geographically and at women with children who search for anything related to baby/child services, programs, consumer products, toys, hacks, DIYs, etc. Don’t worry if you do not see ads yourself because they are very targeted. You may not be in the demographic; the budget may be exceeded when you are looking, or Google/YouTube knows you don’t have kids. Yes, they know everything! One of the great things about YouTube advertising is we are charged only when a video is clicked on or when it’s watched past 30 seconds.
