An Event to Remember!

It was an honor to participate in the 5th Annual Angel City Games at UCLA in June. Angel City Games, the largest Paralympic-style adaptive sports event in the Western US, was open to athletes of all ages and ability levels with any physical disability or visual impairment. The My Gym Foundation (MGF) brought the joy of physical fitness and inclusivity with an outdoor, partially-accessible obstacle course. We were excited to continue to grow the mission of MGF and bring smiles to children of all abilities. Thank you for having us, Angel City Sports! Dora Partnership Details

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Paramount Pictures for the release of their new live-action adventure film, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, in theatres August 9. This partnership, for gyms in the U.S and Canada, will run for three weeks from July 29-August 17. The target ages for the partnership are 4 1/2 – 10 years, so themed curriculum has been written for Whiz Kids and Ninja Training classes only. Gyms will be receiving a poster, window clings, and activity sheets. Packages will be arriving next week. Northeast Training Seminar Recap and Awards

They say that, when life throws you lemons, you’re supposed to make lemonade. Well, when the forces of nature conspire to turn the lights out on 135 My Gymers… We go to work!! Two weeks ago we held our Training Seminar in the Northeast. It was a wonderful group of really fun and pumped-up My Gymers whose energy was truly electric! There were 135 people in attendance, and, because of everyone’s passion, dedication, patience, and fabulous ideas shared, it was an awesome event! Thank you to the Dobbs Ferry Team for all of the work they did leading up to the Seminar. The hours they spent tirelessly coordinating and helping plan the event is much appreciated….not to mention the indispensable help they provided once we had to move the Seminar to Westchester because power couldn’t be restored to the gym/hotel. MGF Now Accepting My Gym Scholarship Applications!

As many of you may remember, the My Gym Foundation (MGF) used to accept applications from families struggling financially to sponsor their continuation of My Gym classes. We are pleased to announce that we will start accepting these applications again! A few things to note: You are welcome to refer your members to our Application Page to request funding for continued classes at your My Gym. Please make sure they write your gym in the “Referred by” line. We will verify with you if a family is truly in financial need before adding them to our considerations.We want to provide this opportunity for gyms who have a desire to help their communities. If a scholarship is granted, MGF will fund 50% of the child’s tuition for TWO months. Space Flight Update

We wish we had better news, but, at this time, Space Flight must continue to remain closed.  This applies to any and all programs.  If you have not done so already, you may take down the cable and trolley to help avoid some questions from clientele. MGM Update: Daily Digest, MGF, and more!

Last week we announced updates to the birthday sign-in system. We also mentioned that even more new features are coming to MGM. Please review last week’s update and continue reading below for details on the enhancements and changes to be released next week. ⚠️Target Release: Monday, June 17 at 10:00 PM ET. The email update sent at 3:30 PM ET had a target of Sunday, June 16th, but it is now Monday, June 17th (same time). We are excited to share new and updated birthday sign-in features coming to MGM this month. Read below for details on what’s to come. Shareable Sign-In LinkWe have applied a coat of paint to the shareable sign-in link. If you are not already utilizing the shareable sign-in links, please see the update from November 29 for more information. Here is a sneak preview of the new look. (The final product may be slightly different.) Text Opt-InThe “Interested In: Classes/Parties/Camps/Events” checkboxes are being replaced by one checkbox encouraging the attendee to opt in to receive a free class offer via text. The ability to text a guest class offer to leads has shown great results, but, without explicit consent, we are not allowed to do so. The change accomplishes two things: (1) gives the attendee a clear incentive and (2) obtains the required consent to send a marketing text. This week’s big swing is listed as “Traffic Jam or Starting Line.” If you have chosen to set it up as Starting Line, please be aware that the children MUST swing the same direction as you would have the kids swing on Traffic Jam. World Reef Day and Sunscreen Awareness

June 1 is World Reef Day, and June 8 is World Ocean Day. In observance of these days, our partners at Caribbean Sol are on a mission to raise awareness of sunscreen chemical toxicity to marine life.
