Permanent Retirement of Hanging Balls and Other Hanging Elastic Items

Regretfully, we will be retiring any and all Adventures using elastic-hanging Hanging Balls (or Hanging Pom-Poms, Hanging Blow-Up Animals, etc.) effective immediately. We have previously stated that Hanging Beach Balls are NEVER to be used for students over the age of 2.5 (the oldest of Gymsters) or for any party because of the risk of serious cuts and abrasions to the neck as well as possible strangulation. If you are currently running a Hanging Ball Adventure (or similar) in your parties, please cease doing so immediately. To be clear, Hanging Beach Balls (along with all other “hanging” permutations that use elastic) are no longer appropriate to be used with any age group, in any class, party, or event. If you have any questions, please contact...

We still have another round of enhancements coming next week, but we wanted to let you know of the changes that have already been made so you are prepared for your parties this weekend. It is imperative that all gyms read and understand the changes below so there are no surprises during the already busy time prior to parties. New Feature! Important Space Flight Update

We continue to work on Space Flight specs, testing, and safety parameters so that it can be reopened.  Most locations have reported no issues relating to the closing of Space Flight, but, to be on the safe side, we have decided to remove the Space Flight wording from all websites.  It will be replaced quickly when Space Flight reopens. There are no further updates this week.  Please continue to keep Space Flight closed.  If you have not done so already, please read last week’s update for additional details. Thank you, My Gym Enterprises +++ LAST WEEK’S UPDATE: Dear Franchisees: Reopening Space Flight has been a more complicated endeavor than we originally anticipated.  We thank you for continuing to keep Space Flight closed while we work on the best path going forward.  Here is the latest information: We contracted a leading expert in the safety industry to assess our Space Flight and related operational systems. We’ve been working with him and his company very closely the last 4 weeks. At...

Four Special Events a Year

In an effort to simplify gym operations, we recommend doing only four special in-gym events each year. These events are to generate revenue and specifically target your existing active and inactive members, although they can also be open to the general public. The four events are: Cocoa and Cookies in December Egg Hunt Parties before Easter Muffins with Mom in May Halloween Parties Updated directives and programming are available for these 4 events in the Special Events folder in the Marketing Manual. Following this simple system will make it easier to prioritize your special events and create more focus on Lead Generation activities. Please contact the Support or Marketing Divisions with any questions. MGE Support: 818-907-6966 Email: support@mygym.com or marketing@mygym.com Live Chat: From...

Important Space Flight Update

Dear Franchisees: Reopening Space Flight has been a more complicated endeavor than we originally anticipated.  We thank you for continuing to keep Space Flight closed while we work on the best path going forward.  Here is the latest information: We contracted a leading expert in the safety industry to assess our Space Flight and related operational systems. We’ve been working with him and his company very closely the last 4 weeks. At this point, we do believe we will be able to reopen Space Flight. (Closing it completely had been a possibility.)  Our safety expert is assisting us in complying with “recreational park safety guidelines” so that we can reopen Space Flight. Latest Information: We will be recalling the hardware currently installed on Space Flight. Everything except the cable will need to be replaced with hardware that is “rated” and designated for human use (similar to climbing equipment).  This includes the Space Flight trolley/handle.  The new hardware and trolley/handle will be provided by MGE at no cost to franchisees. ...
