We have released the first round of Birthday Party Sign-In enhancements. We still have another round of enhancements coming next week, but we wanted to let you know of the changes that have already been made so you are prepared for your parties this weekend. It is imperative that all gyms read and understand the changes below so there are no surprises during the already busy time prior to parties. New Feature! Shareable Party Sign-In Links Every birthday party now has a unique link that party hosts can share with their guests. Locate the sign-in URL on the party details screen: Party guests will be able to complete waivers and sign in prior to the party date. Unless you have a list of all the attendees and their emails, you will need to instruct your party hosts to share the link with their guests and encourage early sign-ins. Here are some ways you can do this: Advertise the unique URL in your party confirmation emails Sample Copy: Save time...

Important Space Flight Update

We continue to work on Space Flight specs, testing, and safety parameters so that it can be reopened.  Most locations have reported no issues relating to the closing of Space Flight, but, to be on the safe side, we have decided to remove the Space Flight wording from all websites.  It will be replaced quickly when Space Flight reopens. There are no further updates this week.  Please continue to keep Space Flight closed.  If you have not done so already, please read last week’s update for additional details. Thank you, My Gym Enterprises +++ LAST WEEK’S UPDATE: Dear Franchisees: Reopening Space Flight has been a more complicated endeavor than we originally anticipated.  We thank you for continuing to keep Space Flight closed while we work on the best path going forward.  Here is the latest information: We contracted a leading expert in the safety industry to assess our Space Flight and related operational systems. We’ve been working with him and his company very closely the last 4 weeks. At...

Four Special Events a Year

In an effort to simplify gym operations, we recommend doing only four special in-gym events each year. These events are to generate revenue and specifically target your existing active and inactive members, although they can also be open to the general public. The four events are: Cocoa and Cookies in December Egg Hunt Parties before Easter Muffins with Mom in May Halloween Parties Updated directives and programming are available for these 4 events in the Special Events folder in the Marketing Manual. Following this simple system will make it easier to prioritize your special events and create more focus on Lead Generation activities. Please contact the Support or Marketing Divisions with any questions. MGE Support: 818-907-6966 Email: support@mygym.com or marketing@mygym.com Live Chat: From...

Important Space Flight Update

Dear Franchisees: Reopening Space Flight has been a more complicated endeavor than we originally anticipated.  We thank you for continuing to keep Space Flight closed while we work on the best path going forward.  Here is the latest information: We contracted a leading expert in the safety industry to assess our Space Flight and related operational systems. We’ve been working with him and his company very closely the last 4 weeks. At this point, we do believe we will be able to reopen Space Flight. (Closing it completely had been a possibility.)  Our safety expert is assisting us in complying with “recreational park safety guidelines” so that we can reopen Space Flight. Latest Information: We will be recalling the hardware currently installed on Space Flight. Everything except the cable will need to be replaced with hardware that is “rated” and designated for human use (similar to climbing equipment).  This includes the Space Flight trolley/handle.  The new hardware and trolley/handle will be provided by MGE at no cost to franchisees. ...

MGM Update

MGM and Email Marketing System updates were completed this morning, and all scheduled emails have been sent. You should no longer experience intermittent degradation or loss of MGM service. As always, please contact tech@mygym.com if you continue to experience issues. Important things to know about email: Scheduled emails are now being sent at 10:00 AM local time again. We are still working on a feature that will allow you to schedule a custom time along with the date. Depending on list size, your campaign will deliver emails to inboxes over the course of 30-60 minutes once released. If you send an email using “Send Campaign Now” instead of scheduling a future date, it will appear in the log as “1/1/2000.” Reminder: If you add a scheduled date, you do not need to press “Send Campaign Now” – doing so will send it immediately. Once you add the date, you are done. Reminder: Please do not copy and paste images into your campaigns. This is not the correct way to...

Post-Conference Operations Team Update

Hello!  It was wonderful to see everyone again this year.  We all came together and created tons of MOMENTS THAT MATTER!  Whether you attended conference or not, please read this update in its entirety, as it is a recap of all things updated, new, discontinued, and currently in the works. General Operations Update: In 2018, we put nearly every My Gym operational area under the microscope.  We were looking for what was working, not working, and what we could improve.  We strived to find areas where we could improve our owners’ and directors’ jobs and make their lives easier and more manageable.  The result was a new model, a new way of operating with a focus on increasing revenue instead of cutting payroll.  This is the one most successful way to operate a gym; the model is simply called My Gym.  This is the way we will be opening new locations and how we will be advising all existing locations.  We will always support My Gyms under any mode...

Important Wheaton and Space Flight Update – Must Read Immediately

MGE continues to work closely with Lisa and the Wheaton team to navigate through this terrible tragedy. Lisa and Justin are working tirelessly at managing the gyms and the situation while grieving for the family. MGE has had 7 team members there to assist with whatever is needed in supporting Lisa, Justin, and the community, and our support of Lisa and her team will be ongoing. We are working closely with experts to make sure we have the safest facility for our families and to manage the situation in the best possible way. Reminder – Do not use Space Flight at all for any programs until further advised. We will inform you when it is okay to begin using Space Flight again and expect that it will be relatively soon. We have hired a zip line expert who is reviewing our guidelines/policies and will be advising us on the best practices to operate the ride going forward. We hope to reopen Space Flight in the next 1 to 2...

Important Safety Reminders

As we continue into the fall season, we would like to encourage everyone to maintain great class quality, continue amazing customer service, and, beyond all else, keep safety your #1 priority.  As our enrollments rise after the summer months, this is a perfect time to review the Safety and Accident Protocol (on the Operations Manual) with your entire team and answer any questions.  We would also encourage you to observe classes and parties to ensure every safety and spotting technique is followed.  Participate in weekly meetings and pre-shift reviews to be sure your instructors are discussing safety (using the Weekly Safety Check document), watching the spotting videos, and continuing their education on keeping our members safe. Swings and trampolines have the potential to be safety hazards; please review those protocols from the Operations Manual Safety Folder if you have not done so recently.  We also must keep our equipment and apparatuses in proper working condition, therefore, please be reminded that the twice-a-year deadlines to complete the Equipment Safety and...

We cannot thank you enough. As we keep this exciting momentum going, we would like to encourage you to incorporate MGCA into your Halloween Parties this year. We recommend adding $3 per child to your admission cost, informing your members this amount will be donated to help kids facing severe physical and cognitive challenges. Please email Aleah (awhaley@mygym.com) to let us know if you will participate, and please include the day you will be holding your event. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Aleah directly as well. Thank you for everything, and Happy...
